Join award-winning author and journalist Bob Kealing for a fascinating look at Elvis Presley’s enduring connection to the Sunshine State, commemorating the 70th anniversary of Elvis’s landmark 1956 Florida tour. Based on Kealing’s acclaimed book Elvis Ignited, this special presentation explores the excitement, controversy, and cultural impact of Elvis’s early Florida performances, revealing how the state helped launch his rise to superstardom and continued to shape his career as both a singer and actor.

About Bob

Bob Kealing is the author of five books on Florida history and culture and a six-time Emmy Award-winning retired reporter. A two-time Edward R. Murrow Award recipient and noted historic preservationist, Kealing has dedicated his career to preserving and sharing Florida’s rich cultural legacy.
